Maintenance Assistant

Overview
Responsible in maintaining Crossroads Shelter property in accordance with acceptable standards of safety, cleanliness and appearance.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain property including building equipment that serves the building to include: heating-cooling, plumbing, electrical service, furniture and furnishings and appliances. Maintain building interior to include small projects of painting, mudding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. Reports to management on building security and safety issues. Perform janitorial duties to include sweeping, emptying trash, mopping, scrubbing, polishing and buffing hallways, restrooms, dining room, kitchen and office space. Uses basic hand tools, (minor painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and other related maintenance activities.) Inspects and notify management concerning needs for major repairs, safety or security issues. Advises management of janitorial and building supply needs. Provides minimum routine outside maintenance. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks. Follows schedule for cleaning windows, furniture, floor polishing, etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL
STANDARDS:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE/
BACKGROUND
Prior janitorial/maintenance experience helpful but not required
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Detail oriented
Ability to organize and carry out work plan with minimum supervision
Physical ability to perform janitorial duties i.e. standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must have a current driver's license and able to maintain TSA Driver Qualification program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
