The Licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional provides an advanced level of mental health treatment in both individual and group settings. Primary duties include crisis intervention, risk assessment, diagnostic impression utilizing the DSM-IV, short-term stabilization services as well as individual and group therapy. Treatment is provided based upon sound theoretical principles, with knowledge of the special issues and needs of the population served. The incumbent develops treatment strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of a diverse population, with attention to the policies and procedures of Truman Medical Center, and is expected to interface with both internal and external treatment providers.
Required Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Master''s degree or above in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy or closely related field.
Must be a Missouri Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Missouri Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and the process of psychiatric diagnosis.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of mental health assessment and treatment and have basic research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Must have organizational and leadership skills.
Must be able to demonstrate good independent judgment, adapt to new duties and work in a changing environment.
For Inpatient Mental Health Services, must obtain PRO ACT training within 90 days of hire and maintain training during employment.
If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
