Burd & Fletcher is now looking for experienced machine operators for 2nd and 3rd (2nd:
Monday - Friday 3 pm-11 pm, 3rd:
Sunday-Thursday 11 pm-7 am) positions scheduled for 40-hour work week, union job, may require mandatory overtime.

A machine operator is commonly expected to know how his/her equipment operates and be able to identify and repair simple mechanical problems, like stalls or jams.
Workers hired into this position will be trained to eventually operate various machines and learn processes related to manufacturing paperboard products.
Mechanical and analytical skills are required for this job.
Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Job Function:
Job Candidate must know and understand basic mechanical processes and equipment function principles, overall good mechanical aptitude.
Maintain all necessary equipment and tools.
Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
Identify quality issues.
Documents production information on tally sheets and makes basic production entries into computer.
Requires good written and verbal communication skills Physical Demands:
Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s).
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
Additional demands may be required.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old & pass a background check.
