Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings - Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases - Organize and maintain legal files and documents - Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Schedule meetings, court appearances, and depositions - Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel - Prepare correspondence and draft letters on behalf of attorneys - Assist with document management systems and electronic filing
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal - Proficient in legal administrative tasks and procedures - Strong knowledge of legal drafting and research techniques - Familiarity with contract law and Westlaw research platform - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading - Proficient in using clerical tools such as Microsoft Office Suite We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
