Our General Managers take complete ownership of their store and are able to carry a sense of pride with his/her role.
Our GMs oversee day to day operations, as they will set goals for growth and design a strategy to achieve those goals.
This person is responsible for building and leading their team/store to success.
He/She will partner with their Assistant General Manager and develop and help them grow into a General Manager within an appropriate timeframe.
Ultimately, the main goal for a General Manager is to lead their crew in a positive and professional environment, to ensure exceptional customer service is given with each visit, and to do those things while ensuring the custard that is being served is to the highest of standards! Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Responsible for all store operations, foster a run it like you own it mentality Mentor and grow Assistant General Manager and Assistant Manager to prepare for promotion opportunities Constantly communicate with Regional Manager, District Manager and Andy's home office Perform all day-to-day tasks that is asked of our store team Responsible for all communications with store, including e-mails, phone calls, etc.
, and ensuring timely response to all inquiries Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard Display a customer comes first attitude by training and holding team accountable for delivering legendary customer service Drive the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly motivating and instructing the store team to implement them Manage with the integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Andy's Frozen Custard Plan and communicate appropriate responsibilities and practices to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations Attend store management meetings, regional meetings, and company meetings Constantly review store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement Monitor and manage store staffing levels, and recruit as needed, according to current shift count needs Interview, hire, do necessary paperwork for onboarding, and monitor training progress Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations Responsible for all orders including adjusting pars during season changes and participating in monthly inventory Accurately make schedule, DLP (internal labor model), calculate and meet DLP Hold one on ones, holding employees accountable and manage progressive discipline when necessary Use B.

to handle customer complaints and discuss reconciliation with store team Involved in local store marketing, attends chamber and fundraisers as needed Performs all cleaning duties expected of store team, as well as power washing outside concrete Build positive and professional relationships with store team, leading by example Execute store operations during scheduled shifts including store opening and closing duties Ensures that all health and safety regulations are being followed Follow and reinforce Andy's operational policies and procedures Follow and reinforce Andy's Dress Code and Personal Appearance Policy Requirements:
Must have 2-3 years of proven management (general manager level or higher) experience in the food service industry, or 6+months of Andy's AGM experience Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must be 21
years of age Must pass criminal background check Work 45-50 hours per week, have open availability; available by phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week Work 3-4 closing shifts per week, in addition to day shifts Must be able to work late nights (as late as 1am), weekends, as well as some holidays Complete training in all areas of store within designated amount of time Complete all required tasks on Andy's Waitrainer modules, and continue ongoing education on Waitrainer and other resources Must be able to manage, effectively, in a fast-paced environment Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities Must be able to learn quickly Must be able to use touch sensitive POS System tablet Effective oral communication skills Strong Interpersonal skills Ability work as part of a team Ability to maintain the Andy's culture/values at all times, even during moments of high stress Physical Requirements:
Constant standing and walking Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds independently and safely Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Constant computer, point-of-sale register, and found equipment usage Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist and spine Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around fountain area Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances Ability to work outside in various weather conditions Andy's Frozen Custard is an equal opportunity employer.
