4 Quick Apply Full-time 2 days ago Full Job Description As part of the TNC Team, you will make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in TNC Community's beautiful homes, with 12 locations in Independence, Kansas City, Lee's Summit, and Raytown.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for managing TNC Community resources and assigned facility including facility budget and funds of individuals receiving services.
Responsible for vehicle maintenance, proper function, and safety.
Responsible for supervision of Lead Personal Support Attendants (Lead PSAs) and Personal Support Attendants (PSA), providing orientation, monitoring of documentation, and direct support activities.
Responsible to assist the QDDP with the oversight of individuals' health, safety, quality of life, and functional outcomes.
The Residential Support Supervisor (RSS) will advocate for the removal of architectural, environmental, attitudinal, and financial, employment, communication, transportation, community integration, and any other barriers to the persons receiving services through TNC Community.
Responsible to report all suspected/alleged abuse and neglect in accordance with TNC Community policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR INDIVIDUAL OUTCOMES/
Essential Functions:
1.
Communicate regularly with Lead and Personal Support Attendants (PSA) and other staff face to face, via phone, and via communication log and/or S-Comm.
to provide consistency in addressing each individual's needs on a daily basis.
2.
Review Daily Documentation Record (DDR/T-Log), and Medication Administration Record (MAR/EMAR) on regular basis for accuracy and completeness.
Alert AED, QDDP, and Health Support Coordinator (HSC), Community RN or other involved staff of any identified issues.
3.
Attend parent/guardian meetings when held at supervised home.
May attend other parent meetings if desired.
4.
Participate in Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings for individuals residing in homes supervised by RSS.
5.
Communicate effectively with all parents/guardians related to a specific individual while protecting confidentiality of others within the home.
6.
Provide leadership for Leads and PSAs in planning and implementing community outings and ensure outing policy compliance.
Assist with staffing and transportation support of planned outings.
Ensure a monthly activity calendar is produced for each home.
7.
Support QDDP in PSA education/implementation of program plan by verbal discussion, review of documentation, and observation throughout the day, to verify that PSAs understand and can communicate and correctly document each individual's ISP outcomes, medications, dietary and health/safety needs.
Report noted deficiencies to appropriate person(s) in timely manner.
PERSONNEL RESPONSIBILITIES/
Essential Functions:
1.
Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels by participating in scheduled interviews, completing necessary forms, initiating and tracking orientation processes and training in a timely manner.
Submit completed orientation/training document within prescribed time limits.
2.
Responsible for establishing and posting staff schedules.
At times, the RSS may need to staff a shift.
Comparable time-off will be provided as available.
Tasks include but not limited to:
monitoring staff requests for time off and scheduling accordingly, taking calls for staff call-ins, and finding coverage for open shifts due to call-ins.
Overtime should be used a last resort.
PRN and part time staff should be utilized before overtime is used unless it is an emergency and needed for safety regarding staff ratios in the home.
3.
Will provide weekend on-call' responsibilities for agency homes.
On-call will start at 12pm on Friday night and end at 7 am Monday morning.
4.
Conduct and document scheduled, mandatory staff meetings including required in-services.
May need to hold more frequent staff meetings if issues arise.
5.
Direct daily supervision of Leads and PSAs and maintain proper documentation regarding that supervision.
6.
Responsible for completing and submitting personnel documentation regarding PSA performance (i.
e.
, annual evaluations, disciplinary reports, etc.
).
7.
Ensure appropriate staffing ratios are maintained in homes and out in community.
8.
Review staffing and ensure staff assigned to homes are adequately trained.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of combined direct service and related management experience preferred (must have at least one year of direct service experience).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to clear background checks and drug/alcohol screenings as required.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Maintain current Abuse/Neglect Training.
Completion of Gentle Teaching or Equivalent.
Must participate in all mandatory trainings and re-certifications as required.
Ability to drive motorized vehicles.
Valid Class E Missouri driver's license or equivalent (may be optional).
Must have own transportation and proof of insurance (may not be required).
Ability to lift 75 pounds (weight may vary).
Flexible schedule.
Be familiar with and able to utilize a computer.
